This page contains projects about my perspective on feminism, the male gaze and the world as a woman.

Does it?

Does it
Tease you
When I squeeze
Make you feel seen
Watched
Touched
Or does it
Make you feel
Uncomfortable
When I’m putting you
On the spot

In this project I question perspectives through assumptions and associations.

This project questions the position we as women are forced to take over and over in the media. We are often put on the spot . Our bodies are there to be observed, peeled apart. In “does it?” I turn around these expectations. Using fruits and vegetables often associated with the male sex-organs I ask the watcher how it feels. Hoping to create a train of thougts and reflection on our modern day expectations and norms.

Ephebophilia is a project where I question the normalisation of being attracted to minors. As I grew older I noticed that I got less sexual attention from men. I wondered what the reason of this might be. Is this an individual problem or is this part of a bigger system.

Through research I noticed patterns in film, sexual harassment, social media and age anxiety. All these patterns point to a desire to be percieved as young as possible, and this is normalized. We find it very normal these days to go for preventive botox to make sure we don’t have wrinkles, we find it very normal to tell our daughters and sisters to cover up. Let’s look at these patterns and try to break them.
